Trevor is a lifetime resident of the Freshwater/Curl Curl community having been born and raised here. After attending Harbord Public School and Manly Boys High, Trevor graduated from the University of Sydney in 1979 with his bachelor of Dental Surgery. From here he moved to the central west town of Parkes where he gained extensive experience in all areas of dentistry. It is during this time that he also met his wife of 31 years, Vicki Sargeant, who was previously the Practice Manager at Freshwater Dental.
Following his time in Parkes, Trevor returned to Sydney and took up practice is Manly with Dr Hooke. While Trevor enjoyed his time in Manly, he could not pass up the opportunity to start his own practice in the Harbord Village Shopping Centre. For the past 20+ years Trevor and his team have been dedicated to proving the residents of Freshwater with high quality dental care in a relaxed and caring environment.
In addition, Trevor was an active member of the Manly Apex Club and for the last 10 years he has chaired the board of the Bendigo Community Bank in Freshwater. During this time the bank has donated over $1,000,000 to the local community which Trevor counts as one of his proudest achievements.
Along with his wife Vicki and their three children, Emma, Adam and Ellie, Trevor still calls Freshwater home. He can often be found at Curl Curl Beach early each morning swimming, running, fishing or just socialising. He is a long term member of the South Curl Curl Surf Club and has spent many a Saturday coaching and managing teams for the Harbord Seasiders United Football Club.
Steve is an experienced general dentist who specialises in surgical work including dental implants, root canal therapy, and cosmetic dentistry.
Having grown up in Sydney Steve graduated from Sydney University in 2010 and worked as a general dentist in Newcastle for 7 years before joining the team at Freshwater Dental in 2017.
As a keen tennis player and a dedicated fan of cricket and the Sydney Swans, Steve tries to maintain an active lifestyle while not at Freshwater Dental - which is usually best achieved by chasing after his very active children!
Steve’s friendly, approachable, confident, and professional manner ensures a comfortable and stress-free experience for patients. In addition, his surgical background and expertise enable him to offer a wide range of treatment options for patients at Freshwater Dental requiring dental implants, crowns, veneers and emergency appointments.
Dr. Sophia Malone is an experienced and compassionate dentist with over 15 years of professional practice. She graduated from the University of Dundee in 2007 and then underwent a two-year comprehensive hospital and general practice training post in Edinburgh, where she developed her skills in various areas of dental care such as restorative dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, and emergency dental care. She also gained membership to the Royal College of Dental Surgeons (MFDS RCS Ed).
As a valued member of the Freshwater Dental team since 2012, Dr. Malone is renowned for her friendly and empathetic approach to dentistry. She has a particular interest in working with families and children and creates a positive dental experience for all. With over a decade of experience as a general dentist in the Northern Beaches and a deep understanding of the needs and lifestyles of families in the community, Dr. Malone is dedicated to providing high-quality dental care.
Originally from Scotland, Clare came to Australia in 2013 and has found Sydney to be her home. She aways has a professional manner and provides conservative, gentle dentistry.
Since graduating in 2012 from Glasgow university, Clare has completed additional training in orthodontics and implants.
Clare was inspired to become a dentist as she always wanted to work in healthcare and loves to work with people. She finds it fulfilling to help nervous patients overcome their dental anxieties and grow confidence in their smile as well as transforming a patients smile with Invisalign and conservative bonding treatments.
In her spare time, Clare enjoys surfing, ocean swimming, yoga and running.
Dr. Gus Zamora completed his Bachelor degree of Dental Surgery in 2013 in his home country Venezuela, where he completed his first year working in Private Dental Practice in the capital city of Caracas. Spanish is his native language and for the past 9 years he has called Australia home.
Dr. Gus was lured by the sunshine and the lifestyle of Australia in 2014 and whilst completing his Australian registration as a Dental Practitioner he pursued further studies in Dental Technology. This allowed him to continue to explore his interest and curiosity in Restorative Dentistry working with patients and colleagues whilst awaiting his Dental Registration.
Dr. Gus is a comprehensive Dentist and he is passionate in sharing knowledge and research with his patients to help guide and empower them to maintain an optimum Oral-Health in between visits. He has a special interest in Preventive and Aesthetic Dentistry. Dr. Gus is an INVISALIGN provider.
His experience working as Dentist in remote areas of the Amazon Jungle in South America made him appreciate the true connection of humans, and how privileged he is to access and offer the latest technologies to his patients. Dr. Gus is committed to guide and treat patients with compassion and respect and make your dental visit as pleasant as possible.
Outside of work, you may find Dr. Gus enjoying the lifestyle that the northern beaches has to offer, either surfing in the Northern Beaches, doing open ocean swimming or enjoying his morning coffee at his favourite local coffee shop.
Dr Adria Melo, completed her Bachelor degree of Dental Surgery in 2009 in her home country Brazil, where she worked as a Dentist for over 8 years in Private and Public Dental Practices.
She’s been living in Australia for over 6 years and working as an experienced general practitioner covering from general dentistry to specialized areas like aesthetics, crowns and improving patients smiles with teeth aligners.
Dr Adria is a qualified Invisalign provider.
Known for her warm approach, she is adept at providing friendly care to children and adults, focusing on both treatment and prevention.
Outside the clinic, she uses her passion for sports, particularly beach volleyball, to actively engage with the Northern Beaches community.
Fraser is originally from Scotland and first moved to Sydney in 2016. After 5 years in Australia he moved back to Edinburgh in Scotland for 3 years before deciding that he missed the Aussie lifestyle too much! He moved back with his wife this year and now calls the Northern beaches home.
He graduated from Cardiff University in 2014 and carried out further training in Edinburgh in a 2 year post graduate role. Whilst doing this post graduate role he passed his Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Fraser is honest, approachable and has a special interest in oral surgery and restorative dentistry.
Outside of work he has a keen interest in football, golf and rugby and loves his coffee!
